Daddy To The Rescue

Whenever DADDY TO THE RESCUE hits the stage..... be ready to be rescued! Their hard drivin', yet smooth Swing Blues, Jump and Boogie Woogie gets every crowd unleashed. Every show of DADDY TO THE RESCUE is a true revival of the American early R&B of the '40's and '50's. Just feel and see their performance of songs from great names of that era like Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, Tiny Bradshaw and Roy Brown. For sure they go down the road with Nat King Cole, Tiny Grimes and Benny Goodman as well. And what about doin' some jaw droppin' Boogie Woogie piano in the style of the great Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson. Now you can imagine the temperature's rising to critical levels when DADDY TO THE RESCUE is in town! Being musical friends in the scene for so many years, the merging of the five bandmembers forming DADDY TO THE RESCUE some years ago, just had to happen. And what a blast ever since! DADDY TO THE RESCUE, from The Netherlands, is a true blend of outstanding and experienced specialists on their instruments. Lead singer and guitarist Daddy Louis' (Max Sigmans) powerful yet subtle style is known to be mesmerizing. Daddy Vanilla (Richard van de Pol) easily switches from honking and steaming solo's on his tenor sax to sweet and tender riffs on his guitar. Daddy Inferno (Arjen Verhoeff) is considered to be one of the finest Boogie Woogie pianists of The Netherlands. With a killer-set of Boogies up his sleeve in every show, he burns up the ivory anyhow, anytime. The steady drive and smart fills are fiercely delivered by the twin-engine Daddy Dynamo (Gerard van Leth) on double bass and Daddy Tubs (Pierre de Rouw) on drums, putting down that essential laid back swing. And wait for the moment that Daddy Tubs adds his deep leathery vocal cords to the blend... DADDY TO THE RESCUE has performed at major Jazz and R&R festivals and clubs as well as at Lindy Hop Dance parties in The Netherlands and touring abroad in Germany and Belgium. Having released their latest CD last year, the band is now working on a new music video, to be released early 2018.
